Does anyone remember the old STE DMA Problem?

Well, I thought it was all solved?

I know that My STE has Never had any problems with Hard Drives, but I have recently been reviving my old ST's and I am having nothing but trouble with my Hard Drives?

I had thought it was down to the IBM Drive, possible both IBM? but I have just put the Connor on its own, and after a while, it suddenly started to hang while I am trying to copy, and when I try to use Dirk Sabiwalski's CORRECT, a whole load of files have suddenly been corrupted????

Can anyone tell me exactly what the original DMA Problems were???
