Folks, have a look at this pic of my falcon motherboard I took last night. There is a dark green coloured plastic box that has been added and the cpu crystal has been removed. Also, a clock patch has been applied (to the left of this box), and wires go from this box to the keyboard 6850 (not the midi one), the missing crystal pads, the clock patch, an led that sits in the top case, and a couple of existing (pals?) chips.

I cant open the box cos it has been filled with red potting compound.

I guess this is a speeder of some kind, it must produce another clock cos the original one has gone. I did a benchmark, and it was the same as a standard falc, and the LED is not lit. I guess it needs some software to switch it on.

There is a sticker on the bottom of my falc case that says Systems Solutions in Windsor, Berks, so I guess they must have either fitted the device or repaired the falc at some stage.

Anyone seen one of these before? Know what it is? Have one yourself? Any software needed to run it?

Any help would be appreciated.
