I need a technical information from a Falcon guru!
I just set up a 'new' old Atari Falcon 030 with an Atari PTC1426 VGA Monitor.
The normal screen resolution for working is 640 * 480 pixles which I saved with the Save Desktop option.
The problem is now, that on each reset or power-on, the screen resolution first
appear in Low-resolution only (40 chars/line) during the whole startup process, during the memory test and driver loading, it changes then to 640 * 480 short time before the desktop appears.
It's only cosmetik, but this disturbs me!
Is this normal on the Falcon? I remember it wasn't on the 1040 ST with a monochrome monitor. On the 1040 the startup screen display was in High-res during the whole startup!
Does someone know if this is selectable on the Falcon?
