Hi

I was wondering if anyone already experienced could tell me how much further an Atari 8-bit operating system could be expanded. For example to modify it to use newer hardware such as USB and internet functions?

Is it easier to write programs now for the Atari 8-bit systems than ever compared to what's going on with the PC?

I'm mainly talking about a current 8-bit software emulator for the PC, utilizing the PC's resources to expand capabilities of the 8-bit emulator itself.
