Hi,
Whenever I try to boot something directly from the hard drive's AUTO folder, and that something has to read a file from the root (e.g. FSMGDOS, SPEEDO... they need to read EXTEND.SYS and ASSIGN.SYS), I get bombed with an error message, saying the file could not be found, or read-error type of message.
On the other hand if I do the same thing from a floppy disk image, everything goes fine!
Does anybody know what the problem might be? I just hope it's nothing due to the unsupported things under PaCifiST. As I understand there might occur some problems when PC folders are mounted as Atari hard drives (like when you try to set-up an extended desktop/shell.... but that's another story :(... it happened to me as well). But this kind of problem I didn't see documented.
BTW, if somebody has a tough time to get the pacifist boot from the hard drive, send me an E-mail, I'll help you.
Thanks.
