I had modified my old Xformer cable I used with ST Xformer to be useful with PC.
Moved +5V from pin 1 to pin 9 and add 4.7k resistor between pin2 and pin11. (folowing instruction from Xformer site)
But it doesn't work on my PC with Xformer 3.8, when I run with -X.
It shows that calibrating Xformer cable, but not working. Not in "dosprompt" not in MS-DOS mode. Than I had tried to use this modified cable with my 1040STE and it works perfect under ST-Xformer 3 and QTU....
Anybody knows why ??????? What is wrong ????
I know that "Emulators" droped their support of Xformer cable away, but Xformer 3.8 still should work with cable. Is it right ?????
Does exist some another utility, just for transfer between A8 diskdrive and PC via Xformer cable??? (not full A8 emulation) Something like "Quick Transfer Utility" (QTU) for ST.... ???????????
