I work for an ISP that has just switched from PAP to CHAP, I myself use linux so simply changed my script to use CHAP. However, I have been conversing with a customer using the TOS MagiC OS and two scripts, one configures his TOS box to our settings (i.e. DNS) and the second to actually dial and authenticate.
he changed the string that referenced "PAP" in one of his scripts to "CHAP" but his atari box cant authenticate it.

any replies greatly appreciated as I personally see this change by our NOC (without informing us - 2nd (of three) line support - or customers) stands testament to the capitalisation that Microsoft are forcing upon the world!
CHAP new
