The ever elusive (and rare) CATBOX is on bid right now at....

http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=419606763

Comes with a complete Jaguar still in the box, 2 controllers, and an Atari SC 1224 which has an adaptor that connects up to the catbox. Nice unit!

The bid is up to $100 right now.

You figure a Jaguar sells for around $30 these days in the box, an Atari monitor you can pick up from a thift store for $5, so you would be picking up the CATBOX for a little over $65!! That's less than what you will be paying for Battlesphere (which is around $75+ and worth every penny too!)

The CATBOX will give your Jaguar options not previously available. Two great examples are....

1) Greater range of monitors that can hook up to your Jaguar. The CATBOX expands the existing A/V port and makes more than just RF signal TVs and video monitors available. With the Catbox, monitors with sharper pictures are possible (at least the RGB style like the Atari SC 1224, which comes with this package)

2) Connectivity to up to 16 other Jaguars! Sure the JagLink could connect you to another Jaguar. What wouldn't it be great to get more than two Jag players together for a multiplayer round of Aircars (up to 8 players possible). And there has not YET been a player session where all 16 players were connected up for a session of BATTLESPHERE. Wouldn't it be great to attend a JagFest and be able to help make this awesome event a reality? :)

What? No Battlesphere? Well stay tuned to this newsgroup, the 2nd release is right around the corner.

The Catbox was a great addition to a Jag as you can see, to which the creation we will thank ICD for. Unfortunately, it's been years since new Catboxes have been made, and people have had to trade with others as far away as Europe to get a Catbox these days. Catbox units go for high dollar amounts, and extensive trades. And yet, a Catbox is available in the states, and with only five hours on the clock!

Don't let this pass you by!
