Well, i can only tell what happened to me (and i doubt it's an issue of different WinRec versions here).
I recorded something on radio using WinRec in 49KHz. Luebke wanted to encode it as mp3 and wanted a copy as 44.1KHz WAV-file.
The conversion to 44.1KHz was well done using WinRec's "convert"-utility, but the conversion to WAV or AVR constantly failed.
