Where did you get the unit and does it correspond to the TV in your area? Did you see it work before you bought it, or was it an eBay item (sold as seen). In the UK we use PAL, France it's SECAM and various other parts of the world use a variety of signal systems which may of may not work depending on the type of TV you are trying to tune the 2600 into. Is it an older TV? Can you obtain sound, do you get any picture, is anything appearing on the TV screen when you switch the 2600 on & off (in other words does a signal reach the TV). The cheapest solution to the problem is replace the RF cable (they can go faulty). Is this the older 2600 Woody or a 2600 Junior (a bit of black plastic like a wedge)? If it's the older 2600 then the RF cable is actually just plugged into the RF unit inside the 2600 and that can become detached or frayed due to mishandling, but you would probably be aware of it and if it was just frayed you'd get something appearing on the screen, if even just fuzzy. Try a different TV, make sure that the TV can accept the type of signal you are pushing into it. If nothing works then the 2600 may have a fault, however it is worth trying everything before giving up and having it repaired. Best of luck!
