Are you referring to the Nuon? That was designed by some former Atari engineers, but has died a quick death. Firstly, Atari as a company is dead. Hasbro and Midway/Bally are the 2 companies that hold rights to the Atari name. Hasbro has explicitly stated they aren't interested in developing a new system- only releasing for the PC and existing systems. Midway/Bally is in the coin-op and software business. Rumor has it that they are planning on dropping the Atari name altogether.
So, what system are you referring to? What proof do you have?
The Jag is a great system and can compete easily with PSX, N64- what have you, but the company that made it is dead. Having said that, it is the systems greatest hope. If the encryption process can be made public, then independent publishers can make whatever they want for the system and pay no licensing fees. While the Jag fan base is small, the people left are fanatical and will buy almost any title that would come out for it.
