I'm been using 20GB IDE harddisk in my Falcon. I've been conecting 40GG IDE disk without any problems,
The size limit is about 157GB, it is an actual IDE standard limit (but I think there may be a standard update soon, as they always did).
Partitions:
Under standard TOS you can have up to 14 partitions, each 1GB size, so you can use up to 14GB.
Under other OSes you can use other filesystems, and the size limit is up to your disk size.
