I can think of some reasons...
Since my racksampler died on me, I could use
a MIDIsampler-emulating software in the background...
CAF doesnīt offer playing of samples via a MIDI track AFAIK?

Hmm, I prefere several smaller drives before
one big one; I have a big box with damaged
harddrives that I would love to save my stuff
from, but at least I didnīt loose ALL my work
since only one drive wrecks at the time.
(Yes, "backups", tell me about it... ;)
aaAAAnd, as we all know, an Atari has this
annoying habit to mess the file catalog up
every now and then, and I wouldnīt like to
clean a 9GB drive up by hand, I have done it
on a couple of 2GBīs, and that was enough...
(BIG thanks to Diamond Edge & DADE)
>Falcon SCSI is 8-bit wide whereas its IDE is 16-bit.
You are right there too, but all IDE drives
has 32bit interface, meaning that a Falc only
uses half the drives capacity, just like the
16bit Falcon BUS uses only half the 030īs
32bit capacity. So, every two bytes out of
four are empty on a Falconīs IDE drive...
A waste? :-/
