Sorry for taking so long to get back...
Ok, I should mention, that I DO NOT use Windows filesystem for the Atari EMU... I use VHD ONLY! - I dont want any of this crap of mixing files up.
Yes, if I use Windows Filesystem, it will read them perfectly ok
What I want to do, is use Magic with a VHD ideally, but I cannot because the Floppy wont read, and neither does the CDROM, but I dont really care too much for the CDROM just yet, I can get by without it.
The only way I have managed to do things so far, is use the 600 ( Linux ) and run GEMulator under Wine ( Windows emulator doing Win95 ) and have both a real Floppy as A: and a virtual floppy as B: and copy the files from A: to B:, then copy the image of B: to the 550 ( Win2000 ) and do things that way, but as you can see, its a hell of a stupid fix for what should be a simply job.
I am using v7 of GEM2000, because v8 wont work too well on my system?
I will ask darek about the blitter stuff, so I will get back to you on that.
While I am on this bit...
If I use Windows Filesystem with Magic, it wont read the MAGX.INF file, and of course, it wont write to it either?
This means I cannot setup magic properly.
Another reason why I dont use Windows FS
