I wouldn't bother trying to get cubase running on a multitasking system.
Cubase multitasks regardless of whether you are running a multitasking os or not.
because of the way cubase has been coded especially in the case of cubase audio
it could suffer stability problems. I've had cubase running under MiNT/Xaaes but cubase audio runs slower that 3.1 for some reason.
