Criss Crosskey used to sell the devices from Mario, he may have some IDE adaptors left. You can make one like the one here, http://www.joogn.de
Use an AT PSU from an old PC, before the Pentium time. These are eaiser to use on Ataris as they have mains switches rather than electronic standby control.
The original PSU will power a small hard drive fine, mine struggled when I crammed a 1.7GB IDE inside the original STE casing :)
