Actually most MIDI programs work without problems on Steem, we have been contacted by a lot of people who have put away their STs and use Steem exclusively for MIDI. There are quite a few benefits, such as running programs at 64Mhz and having almost unlimited hard drive space. For a few versions Steem has also had the ability to use the serial port (and even the parallel port) as extra MIDI ports, apparently this works well (I can't test it myself).
