Now that we strayed off the topic, letz add some fun. What is IBM buys Apple and reimplements OS/2 with a MacOS X interface? :-) And AIX personality instead of Darwin. :-) Actually, AIX is in part based off of OSF/Mach-Kernel, similar or same design used in both DigitalUNIX (now Compaq Tru64 UNIX or HP Tru64 UNIX) and NeXTSTEP or later MacOS X.
But, ironically, IBM actually owns the rghts to the NeXTSTEP source code. They wanted to study it for ideas back in the days of NeXTSTEP 3.3.
Apple really has a big advantage in the media area. There free toys (iSync, iPhoto, iTunes, iCalendar, etc.) are really nice, especially with blue-tooth enable gadgets like Sony-Ericisson cellelur phones and Sony CLIE pda (with built-in camera).
