Hello,
if the modem is a standard one with rs232, you don't need any drivers at all. You will however be limited to 19200 bps.
There are alot of good terminal programs, with different strengths..
For best possible "ANSI" emulation, including colours, blink etc there are two alternatives for a plain ST:
- Ansiterm (runs in lowres with 4x8 font).
- Taz (runs in medres with colour interlacing).
If the colour graphics isn't so important, then there are alot more to chose from, a couple of common ones:
- Connect
- Freeze dried terminal
