i too tried patch #3 (the line audio design with the two extra resistors) and it didn't solve my problems (i had audio clicks). So i switched to patch #2 and it successfully eliminated my sdma probs. I suggest you modify your clock patch to the #2 design. For me, I just had to switch some wires and cut out the resistors.
