Ok, start again.
It may well be formatted, it also needs partitioning into one or more partitions.
I dare say that you have already done this, although the message not bootloaded, may very well be simply because you have not? so use the software I have told you about, and install the driver onto the HD.
This is what needs to be done to a HD to get it to play nicely
1 Format The drive
( Only really necessary once in its entire life )
2 Partition the Drive
This MUST be done, you have no choice.
Ataris have a limit on the size of partitions, so make sure its small enough for TOS to read it
I think 100MB is plenty for the first partition ( Which will be C: )
Choose your partition sizes carefully because once you partition it, you cannot do it again without wiping the whole lot unless you use a driver like SDDriver!
3 Install the Hard Disk Driver
This must be done to allow the Atari to boot up from the drive!
It is possible ( although a bit less usefull ) for you to simply run the driver from floppy!
This has the advantage of ... Well, not much, so its better to install onto the HD.
Tell us exactly what you have done so far, and using what software, and we will tell you what you need to do next.
