Not a good idea;
The reason for the incompatibilities are in most cases the hardware. You can't run a TOS that was not made for this platform.
I dunno how much a STE is compatible to older STs. I believe the Mega STs are making no big difference to the 1040s, but I can't tell how it is with STs to STEs...
RE: Mega STE for games?
