It seams that both of HD's have got the wrong number of sectors, perhaps they both was formatted togethet as one, or the formatting-process did swapping them all the time? But every ID-check shows correct unit-data!?
Ok, So, have you put the IDs to different ones now then? ( We must make sure )
Yes.. snufs!
Who knows? by pure fluke, you might just be getting mixed up and by a real massive fluke, its all still going to be ok!
( Nah, its not, but have some hope eh? )
Maybe there ar angels/aliens still eh!
Anyway, after a format, I can promise you that its a hell of a lot more than just a BootSector that has been dumped on
I'm a believer..
Take the 1GB off, and have a look at the 52MB and see what is what... Do the same with just the 1GB Drive as well, and then put them both in!
With the DISKUS-demo I can read sectors on the 52Mb, but they looks filled with semicolons. The 1Gb didn't show up in the unit-selector, so I don't know. It's unavailible even on the PC!
Since the 1GB was getting partitioned anyway, try swapping them around? Maybe you might have some luck that way?
No, it wasn't partitioned. After the formatting-process, a sectortest run and when it finished it reported a big number of bad sectors, and the partition wasn't performed.
but unless you have Diamond Edge ( or something like it ) you have lost the lot, and definitely if the format went ahead - its gone....
Yes - the format was done!
what versjon of Diamond Edge should I look for?
