I have to agree that Magic is easier to install than MiNT ever was for me too!
MiNT can be very complex indeed, especially if you are a first timer.
To anders:
I dont think he knocked MiNT down, just had a quick punch while no-one was looking I think, which is a hell of a lot less than I have done in the past.
Back to Eliot:
I have been trying to get my ATI Card to play nicely since September mate. I have given up for a while ( AGAIN )
Can you imagine my horror when I left the falcon with everything finally working, only to find that when I went back to it the next day, all I got was a 1cm line down the middle of the screen, and then nothing!
I have since never managed to get it to run at all, even with half a dozen different PCIBIOS and FVDI Programs, and RAGE.SYS Files, and several million FVDI.SYS configs... Ok maybe not in the millions, but certainly a few anyway LOL
Please be aware, that I have downloaded FVDI in a few palces, and the files dont always work! - get a few versions cos I know that the best success I have had is by mixing different files from different sites.
