anyone remember that one? It's quite old and published by Antic. Takes midi input. If you want the old scool sound then i'm sure you can make it work.
Also, there's Avalon 2.0. Many of you may know its a pretty kick ass sample editor. But did you know that 2.0 features a modular soft-synth that is pretty amazing. Now, it dont work in real time. But I beleive with the appropriate Steinberg Avalon Cartridge you can get 16-bit output of samples, triggered by midi.
By the way, that Sid emulator by cream can run on an STFM right? Well that's a pretty kick ass synth (by STFM standards) its a pitty it hasn't been modified to accept midi and have a front end allowing editing of the SID.
or write yer own YM synth. Not too hard for a DEDICATED musician/programmer!
