Yes, I do have the Card, and I used to geta lot of support from Darek, but recently we have fallen out.
We fell out, simply because he is a tit.
He didnt seem to like the flaws I was pointing out to him with GEMulator, and I was not saying anything bad at all, and when I kept on giving him web pages where he could purchase Magic 6, he kept throwing them back at me for wasting his time, annd yet he never once bothered to actually contact any of them?
Stuff him I say.
I get the same problem with GEM8 myself, no its not the ROM Image - they work exactly the same ( as long as they are each version of course ) whether they are ROM Chip or Image... Its the new version, of GEMulator.
The latest version of GEMulator that works perfectly on mine, is 8.7 ( GEMul8R7.EXE ) but like I said, not under Win2K.
Darek says he uses it under 2K perfectly, but it has NEVER worked on any of my systems under Win2K ( I have lots of PCs too of all types ) and I have also tested it on many of my friends PCs that are running 2K, and they all do the same - i.e. it does NOT bloody work
OH, in case you are wondering, its the same problem whether I have TOS/Magic/MiNT, or Geneva as the OS, if you use a Virtual Disk, you cannot use a Real Floppy.
The only cure to get around this, is to use the buggy 8.8 and grab an image of a real Disk when using Windows filesystem, then use the image as A: in the working 8.7
Sorry and sad, but the only way I have managed it, so just think how crappy it is to change a disk in A:!!!
