I donīt think that MagiC is the problem, in my config (Falcon,16 MByte, PhantomSE, MagiC 6.2 and Jinnie) the system also hangs in pure TOS, not very often, but while running games or demos, as mentionend before.

While running MagiC I only have system crashes when I am connected to the WWW either with cab or with adamas, both the same.

Never had system crashes while playing GEM games or sth like that.
