I think that you are right in what you said about darek (smarmy git). I have had problems with Gemulator as I cannot get the "|" and "" characters under emulation, e.g. when using Lattice C, and GFA Basic 3 keeps trying to quit and you can imagine what a ball-ache it is have to hold down [ALT]+92 to get a "" and [ALT]+124 to get the "|" characters each type you need them.
When I have mentioned this to him he's given me a crappy excuse about not using real TOS roms on a board, but I get the same problem in each successive version of Gemulator whether I'm using TOS 2.06 or TOS 1.62 from my own STE which sadly I don't have anymore.
If it weren't for the fact that Gemulator is the only fast emulator for my old 100Mhz Pentium, then I'd be using STEem instead.
You are right about the disk image - what use is it if you can;t copy files onto it from the hard disk??
