Hoi Havoc.
Things have changed alot with patches over the years. Nowadays most people use standard install programs for games. It really isn`t much work to use them. You just have to download JST or HDLoad (aminet). It is in my opnion very easy to use. Almost all oldies are patchable with those programs and they load alot faster from HD too :)
The 30 million issue was an answer to Paradroid who stated that there have to be alot of sales to be able to make a superior machine for a low price. The sales of these devices will insure that. Although I said :"Internet devices" it will still have some sort of AmigaOS that will probably allow alot more than just internetting. Amiga Inc. also stated that they don`t like the filosofy of having to upgrade your computer every half year. They are planning it to be so innovative and superoir that all competitors (read Microsoft/Macintosh/Sony/Nintendo) will be blown away. Maybe Amiga won`t destroy them but they WILL have some catching up to do. (Especially the first two as they will be in direkt competion)
Amiga Inc thinks to sell around 30-40 million units per year of those devices. This does`t even include other Amiga products like the also very likely to be popular A500-like machines they will release.
Don`t forget that these sales don`t include 3rd party developments as the Amiga won`t be a closed system (many workstations are planned). LATE 4TH QUARTER 1999 WILL BE THE THRESHOLD OF A COMPUTING REVOLUTION. And that was about time too :)
