Nostalgia should work fine. Other options include the MagicMac demo, which will give you ten minutes of time as a session.
If the files really are 'text' (i.e. ASCII), you can just read them on the Mac. I have noticed however, that my Mac doesn't like floppies formatted on the Atari. Doing a DOS format of a new disk on the Mac and copying the files to this new disk on the Atari works, however.
