In fact you can purchase second hand mailing systems which use the Atari Falcon, and although it looks like any terminal, it is in fact a Falcon VAR'ed into a grey box.

Impressive! It should be noted however, that the Bell & Howell Mailstar 500 is an inserter, not a sorter. Thus, although a Falcon probably never helped the U.S. Postal Service, it may well have been the computer that made certain your utility bill was sent properly.
