I don't use my ataris that much any more sadly but I used my STE to death in its day.
My favourite hardware was my hard disc. A TUS 100MB SCSI drive in a lovely big SCSI housing. It was only 1995 but suddenly I had acres of space to play in, I didn't have to spend 40 seconds loading in samples from disk any more!!
Favourite software - Let'em Fly was great, I have to agree, and on a machine with a blitter it would fly literally! But I couldn't live without Superboot. I could have 40 different preset boot configurations - accessible with F-keys and combos (^+f-key, alt+f-key etc) - one for MagiC, one for pretty desktop, one for fast desktop, one for music... and you could turn on AUTO progs and ACCs before you loaded. You could even set a boot password, and have a sample and degas pic load at boot time as well. Brilliant app, indispensable.
In my recent reassociation with Atariness I was quite proud of my TT - which was in a tower case with a Matgraf Matrix TC1208 video card. I also have a Falcon with a 500MB hard disc and I love that but I only got it recently (ish). My Spectre GCR was a hell of a thing as well, someone already mentioned that, but it was sold to someone who needed it more than I did, and I had a few macs of my own at that point.
My favourite Atari Object is prolly my classic 6-switch 2600. I played on it since I was 3 years old and it belonged to my grandma, so it's a very important object for sentimental reasons, and it wstill works great too!
