Here is the adress of a program, which converts texts from 1st word plus (up to version 3.20) to RTF. RTF can be imported in nearly every state-of-the-art editor, including Word 2000:

This version is shareware, it is limited to texts < 10 kbyte (so divide your texts and save the money).
