Have you just added the HD and hoped that the TT will see it and use it?

What you need to do, is run a Hard Disk Driver on it, partition it to your requirements ( maybe even format it if needed ) and then install the Driver.
The TT will then ( on booting ) load up the Driver from the HD ( Fantastic when you think about it - it needs a driver from the HD to read the HD, but how does it read the HD to get the Driver??? - hehehe - I can explain but I wont for now ) and this will then tell the TT how to read the HD an its only then, that the TT's desktop will show up the new Drive's Icon/s
Normally it will only show up C: and if you have done more, then you may need to go to the desktop menu and select "show all drives" ( or whatever it is - its been a while since I saw the original TT desktop. )
I will EMail you a copy of AHDI ( Fairly respectable and FREE Disk Driver ) just in case you dont have one?
