Ok, I am doing a full-on run-down on what you need to do, from A to B
I will email it to you as soon as, but like I said in the EMail, the Atari gear is in the attic and I have to be up early tomorrow, so I doubt I can sort it tonight.
Its really simple, so you may be missing out on something thats going to annoy you when you find out.
Like I said in the EMail, its most likely that you have either not installed the driver properly, of the Disk needs more time to start up.
