Well I'm not familiar with the emulator you are running, but with atariwin800 you need to set where the roms are so it can go out and load them into the emulator then you also have to set the machine type as well base on the rom that are going to load.
Atarixl.rom is for emulating the 800 XL computers Operating system, ataribas.rom is for emulating the basic cartridge, atari800b.rom is for emulating the 800 revision B operating system.
Lastly the atari5200.rom is for emulating an atari 5200 game system, when you choose this one you will have to also have game cartridge roms as well in order to play them.
