The boot sector of the Harddive (ST157N = 47mb :-) has to be executable. Have a look at the boot sector with a tool like diamond edge. I cant remember what there is that can tell you if its executable or not, I think IIRC I used to use the Ultimate Virus Killer, or something similar.
