This is an old problem, that I myself have never had an issue with, but still crops up from time to time...
there are tons of PD programs that will let you format a Floppy so it is PC ( MSDOS to be more exact ) compatible, and there are also programs out there that will simply convert an ST or PC Disk so that it is readble by both!
FastCopy or DC Format are 2 of the golden oldies that will probably never die, although god knows where they can be had on the net?
These 2 will only format a disk for PC compatibility, so you may need a converter such as PCCONV so you can alter the disks you have!
IF you are using Magic or MiNT, then you will not have this problem ( until you use TOS )
I have all the software necesary, so EMail me if you cant find them.
Anyway at a pinch, you could just format a floppy with MSDOS, and use that disk to copy the files over! - I think only really old TOS versions will fail on that one!
