When I bought my copy of HBasic 2 from HiSoft, I too was offered copies of the First Basic manuals. However, after a little persistance, HiSoft managed to find me copy from somewhere ;-)

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I have an electronic of the HBasic Technical manual if anyone is interested. It will only be of use to those that own genuine copies though, but it is better than nothing!

Please let me know if you are interested.
