Motorola's MC68000 was in far more than the Sega MegaDrive; among other things in Arcade machines, you may see this with the MAME emulator...
---
First of all, there was the Apple Lisa in 1982(!) - you could compare overall with the Atari ST - except it had no MIDI and was 10.000$ priced(!)
Although it was a flop, it is most remarkably, because it was the real first commercial computer with a graphical user interface.
Later then came the Macintosh, and still now, Apple uses Motorola CPUs and the MC68000 did a good job for many generations of Macs...
The Amiga, which came a few months before the Atari ST also used a MC68000.
But the same CPU makes not the same computer. They are not compatible to each other.
