If you don't want to occupy the Cartridge port you could always go for a SCSI-ethernet adapter.. but with an ST you'd need a ICD adapter to use newer scsi-devices. An ICD Link 96 or 97 is a good investment if you plan on doing more than just hooking it up to a network. Older SCSI harddrives are pretty cheap now.
