While I've not seen it first hand, I've been in contact with a person who apparently has it working now (there was some initial trouble mainly due to '060 MMU setup, IIRC).
Since the Eclipse PCI BIOS does not yet work on an '060, the fVDI driver is not capable of blitting from the screen to RAM. Thanks to the on-card caching that the driver supports, however, most software should still work (without the caching, no menu backgrounds would be restored, for example).
I'm not sure when/if I'll find the time to make the PCI BIOS CT60 compatible, but I intend to release a version of the relevant sources within the not too distant future.

You do indeed need to add a through-port, and to cut one trace on the Eclipse board (the bus arbitration signal).

That's what the guy I mentioned did, apparently. He claimed it was not difficult, but took a few hours to do.
