The mouse needs to be an ST mouse as PC serial ones will not work (well I have never tried but I am sure they want), I od not know were you can get one (I think System Solutions may have a mouse).

Software is all over the place, just post a topic here and people will tell you were to go for that type of software. If you want games go to LGD (http://lgd.fatal-design.com/) or Gravity (I think at www.atari.co.uk), they also have some apps.

All STs have the OS in ROM so you do not need anything to get started (you just need to switch it on), and thats right the power and TV cable is all you need.
