Hello Jim.

I just happen to have exactly the same problem as you. The only real sulotion I've come up with is not to run any med-res programs. I heard an off rumour that it could be possible to build your own converter from the Atari monitor port to a standard screen port. I havn't found any schematics or anything like that yet but I'm still looking. I've had no luck in finding any cheap Atari monitors for sale (I live in sweden) that doesn't come with the ST computer as well. Currently I'm using my Atari STe with a 5 inch monochrome TV, heh, and it works quite well. I'm looking for a text viewer so that I may use the really cool text viewing feature that the Atari has but in a more versatile mode, as in, you can't scroll up etc.. I intend to read e-books on it. Heh. Medium-resulotion is not acceptable on any normal TV, I've tried. The TV connector is really an old RF connection so any hope of connecting an ST(e) with scart is thereby lost.
