I just found another emulator that allows you to redefine the keys. PCaeWin
It seems to work good :)
I just built a mame cabinet and wanted to also play atari games on it, using the cabs joysticks and buttons. With PCaewin I now can redefine the keys to the joysticks and buttons for players 1&2. :)
