Hi. Thanks for you replies. I thought I'd wait to see exactly what the TT was like before replying. So far I'm chuffed - a TT 030 with Tos 3.06 UK & HD floppy drive in reasonable nick for £67 - fantastic! The 2 MB ST Ram seems like a limitation though? I managed to get one of the Magnum TT Ram memory boards with 32 MB on board from a guy in Germany via ebay for about £50. His bank & postage charges added another £20 to the cost, so watch that if your buying from the UK. Still at 70 quid for 32 MB TT Ram memory and the possibility of upgrading to 256 MB I am a very happy bunny. By the way these cards do use EDO memory thats whats on it now. The last time I looked the guy had a couple more of these cards for sale on Ebay listed as: " Fastramkarte fur Atari TT " .
So my question is will this 2 MB ST Ram be much of a limitation? How do I get programs to run entirely in TT Ram memory to get around this limitation? I've read its possible, anyone know where I can find a utility to perform this little wonder? Will some programs not play ball & how do I find out which ones? The TT came without discs or manual so I may be missing some basic info and utilities. I have an ST manual and Falcon manual so just need the info specific to the TT can anyone point me to a source on the net. I've already found the basic reviews on the net is there a collection of FAQs anywhere about how to access the many ports & software setups?
Any help in getting this beastie up & running is greatly appreciated.
