AFROS works fine on Windows, just edit the "config" file so all the paths are appropriate for your system. Then run aranym with the -c option, followed by the full path to that "config" file.
In case you wanna try out the Linux version without installing linux, you might be able to do so with Knoppix, a bootable CD with linux and a lot of software in it. After you boot from the CD it's quite easy to access your ntfs partitions, so it just might work. Check it out at http://www.knopper.net/knoppix
