In fact buying both Ataris would be the best solution ;-) In my opinion, Lotus I-III are the best link games for the st. If you only want to get one computer, then I would buy the ste, because of the stereo-sound (hook it up to your stereo - but an stfm with some midi hardware also sounds very well... all the old sierra adventures have this feature) and better graphics. Sure not many games (although there are alot, think about sleepwalker) support the ste´s specials, those games,like obsession are really playable and (nearly*g*) up-to-date.
If you want to play really cool games and many st-games, then get a falcon with backward.
