Trial and error :)

Is there any point in using the internal IDE when my C-Lab has an internal SCSI-connector?

The U160 drive ought to be much faster than any 2.5 inch drive..

It is, but the Falcon's SCSI bus is limited to about 2 MB/sec, so your U160 drive is a Porsche stuck in traffic. :-/

On the other hand, IDE on the Falcon varies somewhat with the board's bus speed. Thus a decent IDE drive on an accelerated Falcon will beat SCSI. If your Falcon isn't accelerated, I'm not sure which is faster.
