You didn't mention any software, so it's impossible to say whether what you want to run will indeed work.
As was mentioned, ARAnyM is not a Falcon emulator, even though its hardware support is somewhat like the Falcon. For example, it normally runs TOS 4.04 and the Videl modes are available. You really shouldn't be using the Videl modes, though, since ARAnyM is a _lot_ faster when using the native mode fVDI driver.
Generally, I'd say ARAnyM is probably more compatible than the clones.
